ment now recognise the "South African Amateur Bodybuilding Union" and recognises its authority and claim to the titles as far as bodybuilding and physique contests are concerned.

They are now approaching the Olympic Committee for recognition and hope to get their case supported by the Judo, Wrestling and Boxing and possibly Football Associations.

This association recognises N.A.B.B.A. as opposed to the F.I.H.C. which they consider as purely a weightlifting association and of course recognise it as such.

We greatly appreciate the efforts of South African Bodybuilders to maintain their rights and we look forward to close co-operation with them.

Last year we had the biggest entry ever of S. Africans at our Universe and this year we hope for even more.

News from Malta: Nazio Grima, hard-working P.C. enthusiast from Malta for many years, sent me a report and cuttings of the recent annual "Mr. Zabbar" contest organised by the Zabbar Physical Culture Centre.

The contest was sponsored by Mr. Ph. Gatt & Co. Ltd., agent for Horlicks Ltd., who kindly donated the prizes.

The winner was Robert Agius, aged 17, second was Charles Calleja, who also won the "Most Muscular" title. Third was Emm. Said, a 15-year-old.

Of course, all these would have been juniors in Britain.

Judges for the contest were Victor Saliba, who competed in the N.A.B.B.A. Universe in 1950, Charles Gili, of the Cottonera P.C. Club, and F. Caruana, a well known physical culturist. One of the star items was Spedito Zerafa, heavyweight lifting champion of Victoria, Australia, and, of course, formerly of Malta. He made a 3201b. Press
